Held on April 9, 2026.

Speaker: Danil Franko, clinical psychologist and art therapist.

The meetup opened with Danil Franko addressing the widespread confusion between ordinary fatigue and clinical burnout. He explained that fatigue is a natural response to effort that resolves with rest, while burnout is a chronic state of depletion that rest alone cannot cure.

Franko walked the audience through the three dimensions of burnout - exhaustion, cynicism, and reduced professional efficacy — and contrasted them with the cyclical nature of tiredness. He used examples from art therapy to illustrate how clients often draw their fatigue as gray clouds that pass, but burnout as a heavy, immovable weight.

The session then turned to practical self-diagnosis: tracking sleep, motivation, and emotional reactivity across weeks, not days. Franko introduced a simple “energy audit” and a drawing exercise where participants mapped their week in colors, revealing hidden patterns of overcommitment and under-recovery.

He concluded that mistaking burnout for fatigue keeps people trapped in a cycle of pushing harder. The first step toward recovery is naming the difference honestly and seeking support before the body forces a stop.
